El Salvador SHG (Strictly High Grown) washed coffee is a renowned variety celebrated for its exceptional quality, cultivated in the elevated regions of El Salvador. This coffee is grown at altitudes exceeding 1,200 meters above sea level, typically surpassing 1,400 meters, which contributes significantly to its unique flavour.

Cultivated in regions like Santa Ana, Ahuachapán, and El Boquerón, this coffee benefits from the higher altitudes and cooler temperatures, leading to slower cherry maturation and intensified flavours. El Salvador SHG washed coffee undergoes a meticulous processing method. After harvesting, cherries are carefully washed and fermented to remove pulp and mucilage, ensuring a clean cup profile with bright acidity.

The Product

El Salvador SHG washed coffee offers a medium to full body and a well-balanced, vibrant flavour profile. It often features lively citrus and floral notes, complemented by pleasant sweetness, hints of caramel or chocolate, and a lingering finish. This coffee is treasured by enthusiasts for its complexity and quality, embodying El Salvador’s commitment to excellence in coffee production. Whether enjoyed alone or as part of blends, it represents the pinnacle of El Salvador’s dedication to crafting exceptional coffee.
