Spot Purchasing
This option allows you to purchase coffee that is readily available in our warehouse
The advantage of spot buying is that this stock is always ready for dispatch right away and gives you the flexibility to purchase only the quantity you need week to week. Spot purchasing requires less administrative work compared to contracting. With spot purchasing, the pricing and availability of stock can fluctuate due to many factors such as demand, coffee market fluctuations, the crop season, and even strength of the Australian dollar.
Contracting Current Stock
Contracting our stock can offer you peace of mind and enable you to concentrate on your core expertise: Roasting.
Reserved stock from our warehouse is exclusively dedicated to your requirements. In collaboration with your Business Development Manager (BDM), you can outline your needs and establish a contract to reserve specific quantities. These reserved quantities are securely stored and released as necessary over a predetermined timeframe. Contracting ensures a dependable supply of the stock essential for your blend, provides price stability, and mitigates the risk of potential substitutions if a required item becomes temporarily unavailable. We oversee and store the reserved stock in our warehouse, freeing up valuable space in your business, and arrange for its delivery as per your specifications.
Future Contracts
A futures contract is an agreement for coffee that has not yet been shipped from the coffee-producing country.
You can leverage the long-standing relationships that OCT has nurtured with our suppliers. Whether you require a future shipment from the current crop or are preparing for the upcoming fresh crop, we have you covered.
With future contracts, you will receive a pre-shipment sample for approval, ensuring that the quality and profile align with your requirements. OCT will manage all aspects beyond this. Our team takes care of importing responsibilities, unpacking, storage, and logistics, providing you with a hassle-free experience.
